Episode 057 Summer Olympics

The Merica cocktail: 1 oz blue curaçao, lemonade, 1 oz grenadine.  5 oz vodka and lemonade mix.
Jonesy and Blanco are joined at the bar by Eliot Holmes and Crazy Aunt Gina. We show our love for the Summer Olympics and Team America. We don our best patriotic gear and talk about the highs and lows of the games so far. Jones is not impressed with the continued greatness of Biles and Ledecky. He is looking to see underdogs shine. Everyone is impressed with the random guy Turkey sent to dominate shooting. The Fatties are ready to see big people lift heavy things. USA USA USA

Drink of the day: Crown Royal Lemonade: Peach, Lemon, Mango, Blackberry.
Blanco and Jones are back in the bar bantering. Jones tries to put Blanco into diabetic shock with sugary drinks. That’s leads to a second tasting of Jura Scotch. It was just as bad as we remembered. We entertain the idea of a second gold rush. We are ready to pan for gold. We ask why did Jerry Rice get so angry at the ACC. We also run down a list of our top 10 fictional football players from shows/movies. We wrap up with the show Bobby Witt Jr. put on at the Home Run Derby.

Drink of the Day is Apple Pie: 2 oz Apple Crown, .5 oz Smirnoff Whipped Cream, .5 oz Jack Honey, .5 oz Rumchata.
Jonesy and Blanco are back at the bar. Buzzfeed sent us down a bit of a rabbit hole. We discuss “parent hacks” from the article and from our listeners. Some folks give their kids serious trauma. Blanco’s still got a beef with AI. This time we discuss the “surveillance pricing” from AI based on data that is being collected on you every day. It’s absolutely freightening. The Olympics are starting soon. We preview our upcoming Olympic themed episode.

Drink of the Day: Monaco Hare lemonade peach, original, and strawberry. 
We bring the Monaco cocktail series to a close. Blanco shares a little about his time in Florida. We break a rule and briefly touch on politics. The state of KS does not want you to view “adult content” so PornHub has cut service to 11 states.  We mourn the decline of “breastraunts” in America. Hooters closed several locations. Hallmark is teaming up with the Chiefs for a new Christmas movie. Jones and I can do without it. The NFL lost an antitrust case for Sunday Ticket. We also talk about the Lakers taking Bronny.

Drink of the day: Monaco premade cocktails: Citrus crush, Lime crush, and Blue crush. 
Our love affair with Monaco cocktails continues. It’s safe to say we are big fans of these pre-made cocktails. They lead to a lot of rambling. We feel old because the album “Smash” turns 30 this year. Takes us back to the days we recorded tapes while listening to the radio. We relate to Flavor Flav’s son who also love’s Red Lobster. We plead, please stop recording your Chipotle order. The employees don’t need you to give them a hard time. We discuss a restaurant with age restrictions. The Fatties are on board with this. Keep the kids out of nice restaurants.

Drink of the day: Monaco margaritas: Passion fruit, twisted lime, and watermelon. 
Jones’s internet has been out for a week. He has several words for his ISP. He’s mad as hell and won’t take it anymore. He is also mad at his cell phone provider. He has beef will all telecom companies this week.  He also reviews a new local Italian restaurant. Spoiler alert, it was not good. We plead for restaurants to make their food from scratch.

Drink of the day: Monaco Fight Night  Grapefruit crush, Knockout punch, and Strawberry Hard lemonade.
Jones and Blanco discuss what 3 people they would have dinner with if given the chance. That lead to which 3 presidents we want to have dinner with.  That leads us to discussing BORG. Kids these days know how to get down. They are not scared of alcohol poisoning. We talk sports as usual. We are both reserving opinion on the optical tracking for line to gain. The schedule also gets a bit of attention. Blanco does not hold back on his feelings toward NFL scheduling officials.

Blanco and Jonesy are back at the bar. The conversation centers around rap beefs. We discuss some of our favorite rap beefs over the years and how they compare to the Kendrick/Drake beef.

Drink of the day: Waterbird Ranch water, Hardbody, Tequila Pineapple.
Blanco and Jonesy are back at the bar. We catch up on life. We go off on a tangent.  We share some Gentlemen’s club stories. We coin a new phrase, MIDF. Jonesy shares a ghost story. He ran into someone he thought had died. We also discuss a cardinal sin, don’t mess with people’s food. It’s not funny. On a bright sports note, we would both love for the Chiefs to come to Kansas. Tuff Tony attended his first RAW with Jonesy. 
 

Episode 048 The NFL Draft

Drink of day: Cowboy Dessert 1 oz bourbon, 1 oz Carmel vodka, top with root beer. 
Jones and Blanco went live for the first 13 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. We gave some predictions on the first 5 picks and commentary on all as they were announced. We are both thankful that our division rivals are terrible at drafting.
